Chris DeBusk PGA Certified Professional & Facility Manager
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL
Chris DeBusk was born and raised in Baltimore, MD; moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1985 and has also lived in South Florida and Phoenix, Arizona as a PGA Golf Professional. I am a strong believer in continuing education and have achieved PGA Certified Professional’s status in all 6 career paths with the PGA of America including General Management, Golf Operations, Instruction, Executive Management, Ownership/Leasing and finally Retail.. I have also served on the North Florida Section Executive Tournament Committee Board and was Tournament Chairman for the North Florida Section; Northern Chapter.
I joined the Havana Country Club Team, January 3, 2008 from the Ravines Club and Lodge (Jacksonville, FL) where I served as General Manager/Director of Golf. Past employment positions also included Director of Instruction and Tournament Administrator.
Happily married to my wife Shana and a proud father to my beautiful daughter Brianna born April of 2006. Hobbies include sports, movies and various types of music. The most exciting thing about Havana Country Club and The Villages for me is getting the opportunity to meet and socialize with so many different people from diverse parts of the country and varying life experiences.
Vickie Towler Assistant Manager - Inside
Hometown: Saline, Michigan
I moved to the Villages in December 2005 and to Havana from Mallory Hill in Sept. 2006. My main hobby is Golf. I enjoy working at Havana because of the interaction with people and the challenges of opening a new Country Club
John Copley Assistant Manager - Inside
Hometown: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Education: Colorado Springs Schools, University of Colorado, EECS, Colorado Springs Campus. Employment: 8 years Military (4 Navy – Submarines, 4 USAF – Radar Maintenance), 31 Years with Hewlett-Packard Company as a Marketing Engineer/Manager. Retired in 1994 and opened two Real Estate Offices in Westclifffe, Colorado. Moved to The Villages April 2004. Hobbies: Golf, Computer Applications and Technology, Reading.
Bob Drzycimski Assistant Manager - Outside
Bob and his wife Annabelle moved to The Villages in August of 2005 from Memphis, Tennessee where he worked with an office supply company and eventually owned and managed a vending company. The Drzycimski’s have 7 children and 21 grandchildren. Bob was born and raised in Burlington, IA. He previously worked at the Palmer Legends Country Club where we was highly respected by his peers. Golf is a great passion of his and he plays as often as possible.
Bob Towler Assistant Manager - Outside
Bob Towler has been a resident of the Villages since 2005 and an employee with GMS since 2006. Bob started at Glenview Country club as an outside employee and transferred to Havana in when the facility opened. Bob has been an Ambassador and Starter on the championship courses, a Starter at Sandhill and a Sales Associate at the Sarasota practice facility. He was promoted to his current position as Assistant Outside Manager in October 2009.
