What's New
New Golf Shop Credit system is now in place
Things have just become a little easier for tournament winners in golf events at The Villages. Forget those paper certificates you used to have to keep up with. The new Golf Shop Credit system is now in place.
Winners of everything from men’s and ladies day to couples events to the club championships – anywhere that currently posts tournament credit as the purse – is now done electronically.
For years this type of credit has been kept on index cards, a log book and gift certificates. Thanks to our progressive approach to customer service and the desire to embrace technology, the new tournament winnings will now be available to residents with the ease of their current Resident ID Card. Just scan the card at any golf shop in The Villages and the credit balance will appear – and can be applied to golf green fees, cart fees or golf shop merchandise.
Visitors, resident guests and specific prize winners will receive a gift card, similar to a credit card, where the winnings will be posted. The card would then be used at any of our golf shops until the full balance is redeemed.
We look forward to serving our residents with this new credit system and hope this new convenience adds to the numerous benefits of being a Village Golfer!
