Glenview - Staff

John Ward PGA Professional & Facility Manager

Hometown: Shreveport, Louisiana

I recently joined The Villages team after working over 11 years in the Florida Panhandle as Vice President of Golf and Club Activities for Resort Collection in Panama City Beach, FL and General Manager of Burnt Pine Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, FL. Originally from Louisiana, I was employed as Head Golf Professional at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA and General Manager of Palmetto Country Club in Benton, LA.

I have been a PGA member since 1993 and enjoy spending time with my wife Lisa and our 20lbs. "miniature" dachshund. We have two children currently enrolled at UCF majoring in Hospitality Management.

I first learned of The Villages when my father and I were on a golf trip to Orlando. My father was thinking of retiring so I suggested we should stop by and see what The Villages had to offer. Upon arrival we were amazed by the beauty and friendly atmosphere throughout the property. Needless to say, my father and step-mother soon became year round residents of The Villages and I am thankful to have followed.

Rick Kleindienst Assistant Manager - Hybrid

Rick and his wife Priscilla moved to The Villages in January 2010 from Stratford, Connecticut. Rick has been an emergency medical technician for 34 years which includes 25 years as an advanced life support technician. He is also an American Heart Association CPR Instructor. He was also the Program Director for the Sumter County Medical Reserve Corps which is sponsored by the Sumter County Health Department.

Rick and Priscilla have four sons and seven grandchildren. They both love to play golf and enjoy outside activities (12 months a year) which was the driving force why they moved to The Villages. Not having to shovel snow or scrape ice also played a big part in their decision process. Rick and Priscilla live in the Village of Hadley with Bandit, their three year old golden retriever.

Ron Girotti Assistant Manager - Outside

Hometown: Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Ron moved to The Villages along with his wife Jane in September 2009 from Bucks County Pennsylvania. Prior to moving to The Villages Ron taught math and coached Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, and Field Hockey in the Bensalem School District. Ron retired from Bensalem after 32 years in the classroom. In addition to teaching school, Ron and Jane built two small businesses which they owned and operated in Levittown PA until they were sold just prior to moving to The Villages. Ron's love for sports is one of the contributing factors to his move to The Villages. Not shoveling snow in the winter was another.

After playing baseball most of his life, golf has taken over as his number one sport. "It's the new challenge presented each time you tee it up that keeps you coming back day after day". Ron's hope is to live long enough to reach his golf score. When not on the golf course playing or working, Ron enjoys spending time with Jane and all their friends here in The Villages.
